Cambridge University Education Without Borders (CUEWB) is a non-profit student society, registered with the Societies' Syndicate of the University of Cambridge, and a branch of Education Without Borders Organization (EWBO). It aims to share educational resources worldwide and break the barrier between educational institutions and industrial organisations. In the past two years with the great effort by its committee, CUEWB has been promoting education and industrial exchange through its multi-faceted programmes, most of which are international:

The feedbacks from the participating students were very positive and we are committed to organising more such projects in the future. We are also seeking to bring our activities to countries other than China and the UK.

To ensure the rapid development of CUEWB and the success of its future projects, we need enthusiastic individuals to join us!

Deadline for application: 5pm, Sun. 21 Mar. 2010

Additional Information

Since our introduction of the novel committee structure following our Committee Recruitment 2008 (CR08), we don't currently have a post of President. Because most of what we do is project based, there's a project leader for each project. CUEWB strongly encourages any member of the Executive Committee to take the Project Leader role in any project he/she is interested in and to propose his/her own ideas and projects over time. In this way, every member of the Executive Committee will have the opportunity to lead CUEWB and rotate in different posts.

"I think the best thing about CUEWB is its flexible committee structure. Because there is no President, everyone has a chance to lead the team, take on new challenges, and learn different aspects of the society. As Sponsorship Officer, I've had the opportunity to lead a financial talk last term, which has not only allowed me to develop my communication and leadership skills but also allowed me to build up connections with the sponsoring companies. I have enjoyed it throughout. I look forward to working with new committee members on our upcoming international projects."

Ms. Amy Zhou, Sponsorship Officer of CUEWB (2008-09) and Project Leader for TSFC

"The most important takeaway from this forum as a project leader was that I became more ambitious and willing to take risks. When I took up the project, I just wanted the forum to happen. However, as I put more and more effort into it, I wanted to make it even more successful. I realised that I could accomplish many more things in life. I made many friends in the course of organising and running the forum. They inspired me to achieve more in life, and had motivated me to change my views on several issues. I became more initiative and systematic when working, so that I can accomplish more in a shorter period of time. I also learnt how generous people could be. All of the speakers spoke without demanding for a lecture fee. All the XMU students whom I worked with put in a lot of effort to make sure that the forum was successful. It was a very wholesome and memorable experience."

Ms. Yibing Quek, Secretary of CUEWB and Project Leader for IFX

Recently, we have started running the following projects:
