“It is our pleasure to work with CUEWB on the captioned Forum with the aim to encourage the new generation to embrace innovation, knowledge transfer, and entrepreneurship as the driving force for future economic development.”
- Mr. Andrew Young, Director of Partnership Development, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
“It has been wonderful to be involved in the three previous and outstanding events – the International Forums run by CUEWB in Beijing, Xiamen and Cambridge. To be invited to participate in Hong Kong in another event inspiring members of the next generation to adopt the vision of ‘A World Without Borders’ is a privilege and an honour.”
- Prof. Alan Barrell DBA, FRSA, Entrepreneur in Residence, Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, University of Cambridge
“Through its programmes in the UK and in China CUEWB has brought together talented young people to learn about business practice in each other’s countries. Just as importantly, it has helped to inculcate in these leaders of tomorrow the understanding and cultural sensitivity that they will need to operate in international business and education.”
- Sir Christopher Hum MA, KCMG, Former British Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China
The theme of the Forum is “Success” and consists of two parts:
1. Vision: Creating a powerful vision is one of the most important aspects of success. In this part, our speakers will give the audience an overview of the current world economy, including its trend and opportunities for the students, from the speakers’ perspective. This part will encourage the students to develop their own vision for their future.
2. Action: A vision is only a dream unless it results in action. This part will encourage the students to think big, take active steps, and become successful.
Through the forum, we are aiming to break down barriers between universities and the business world and promote the educational and cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Cambridge. Supported by all the universities and tertiary institutions in Hong Kong, the forum is endorsed and partially funded by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and will be in lieu with the Knowledge Transfer Conference, which is one of the major events of the Innovation & Technology Month to be organised by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR.
