Additional Information

Since our introduction of the novel committee structure following our Committee Recruitment 2008 (CR08), we don't currently have a post of President. Because most of what we do is project based, there's a project leader for each project. CUEWB strongly encourages any member of the Executive Committee to take the Project Leader role in any project he/she is interested in and to propose his/her own ideas and projects over time. In this way, every member of the Executive Committee will have the opportunity to lead CUEWB and rotate in different posts.

"I think the best thing about CUEWB is its flexible committee structure. Because there is no President, everyone has a chance to lead the team, take on new challenges, and learn different aspects of the society. As Sponsorship Officer, I've had the opportunity to lead a financial talk last term, which has not only allowed me to develop my communication and leadership skills but also allowed me to build up connections with the sponsoring companies. I have enjoyed it throughout. I look forward to working with new committee members on our upcoming international projects."

Ms. Amy Zhou, Sponsorship Officer of CUEWB

Currently, we have started or are about to start running the following projects:

The following Executive Committee posts are available:

  1. Sponsorship Officer
To make sure that the society has enough funds to be sustainable. The duties mainly include liaising with companies to assist their advertisement within Cambridge University.

  2. Publicity Officer
To publicise society events, to liaise with other student societies in different countries, and to design publicity and marketing materials.

  3. Junior Treasurer
To keep the accounts of the society and be responsible for ensuring that the financial affairs of the society are within the law.
Any current Cambridge student, graduate or undergraduate, is eligible to apply. Successful applicants will have strong leadership skills, be good team players, be committed, and be responsible!
