Congratulations on making on to the Shenzhen Summer Student Programme 2009 (Shenzhen SSP09) crew! You have demonstrated outstanding potentials to make positive contributions to the programme. We hope that you will accept our offer and join us in an exciting summer in Shenzhen, China.

The key expectations for the programme are outlined below:

Before arriving in Shenzhen:

(You can view the lesson plan details here. Note that there will be up to 100 Chinese students divided into 5 classes.)
After arriving in Shenzhen:
  1. Attend mandatory induction sessions from 20 Jul. 2009 to 24 Jul. 2009.
  2. Teach up to 42 lessons (40 minutes each) in total from 27 Jul. 2009 to 15 Aug. 2009.
  3. Organise talks and extracurricular/sports activities for the Chinese students in the afternoons.

  2. Transportation allowance of ¥3,000 CNY (~£300 GBP) on arrival,
  3. Living allowance of ¥4,000 CNY (~£400 GBP) towards completing the programme, and
  4. Two 40-minute lessons every week on Chinese language and culture.
Note that comparing with SSSP09, a lower transportation allowance and a higher living allowance are offered in Shenzhen SSP09 because of the lower cost of transportation and the higher cost of living in Shenzhen than in Shanghai. Other aspects of the programme are going to be the same as SSSP09. Please visit our Shanghai Summer Student Programme 2009 (SSSP09) page for details.

Please notify us of your decision by 15 May 2009 by submitting your decision below. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
